Thursday 7th May - walk **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny.

Despite a sunny start to the day Mag decided to give her early morning prom walk a miss this morning but I decided to have a drive down to Felixstowe Ferry to take a few weather pics at 6.30. First stop was the cliff top car park near the golf course to snap the crepuscular rays before moving to the Ferry hoping that the Valeriam would be in full bloom but it was sadly disappointing at the moment but the views up the River Deben never disappoint :) We had arranged to look after Maeva for an hour around midday which gave me enough time to have breakfast in the sunny back garden with Mag and do my exercises before packing a picnic before leaving home at 11.45 to walk round to Maeva’s. We took Maeva round to the nearby park and had a great time on the swings and trampoline before her mum returned from her appointment. We then had a cuppa in their sunny back garden and was surprised to see our son Dan come home for an early lunch! Mag and I then said our goodbyes and walked up the town for a couple of things, the NE breeze was a tad nippy in places! We then ended up for a late picnic lunch sheltered from the breeze at our seat in the Spa Gardens near the theatre which was really lovely:) Well rested we continued along to the pier with a cool breeze on our backs and up to St. Johns church to vote after walking over 4 miles!
